Hey everyone!
Welcome to another exciting edition of our "Let's Talk Business" series! Today, we're spotlighting the incredible Derrick Bell Sr., a true jack-of-all-trades and the driving force behind "The People's Advertiser (TPA)" in sunny Jacksonville, FL.

Derrick Bell Sir. Owner of The People's Advertiser.
Derrick is not just any entrepreneur; he's an engineer and a retired Army veteran with 20 years of service under his belt, a loving husband of almost two decades, and a proud father and grandpa. He said that he is what you call a “momma’s boy” and might I add his sister’s keeper! People know him to have a big heart and a heart to serve. After his military days, Derrick ventured into retail as an area manager, flipping stores and making magic happen. But here's where the story gets even more inspiring!
How It All Started
After a tough transition from military life, Derrick found his spark in advertising. It all started in 2017 while driving a digital billboard truck in Hinesville, GA. A business trip to Las Vegas turned into a lightbulb moment when he declared, “I am the People’s Advertiser” after looking up at the Encore Hotel. From there, he dove into research at McDonald's—yes, McDonald's! —to carve out his niche in digital billboard advertising.
By December 2019, The People's Advertiser was born, officially kicking off in early 2021. Derrick emphasizes the importance of understanding and mastering marketing before diving into it, and now he's helping others find their footing in this dynamic industry. Derrick's services reach far and wide—from neighborhoods to big cities, and even events like weddings and parades. He advertises for a lot of big known corporations such ATT&T, Publix, Humana and more! The potential revenue is nothing to sneeze at, with figures reaching over $30,000 per month. Talk about a lucrative venture!

What are the ADDED BENEFITS?
Lucrative revenue
Lucrative partnerships
Paid travel all over the world
Schedule Flexibility
You can contract TPA to advertise your company for as low as $150 per hour or if you are interested in getting started in the digital billboard industry and need a mentor and engineer to build your truck... TPA GOT YOU!
Keeping Up with the Trends
Staying ahead in the ever-evolving world of advertising, Derrick keeps his finger on the pulse of market trends and invests in cutting-edge technology. Apparently, the size of the bulbs on a digital billboard makes a difference and the brighter the bulb the better the picture view. Derrick's trucks are 4.8 pixels (the size of the bulbs) which is the best of the best. He also upgrades his equipment anytime there is a new update or software. When asked how does he stay creative in such a competitive market he replied, "Transparency and fairness, ensuring every business, big or small, gets a fair shot at great advertising." He often finds himself doing a lot of market trend research and said that staying business levelheaded is also important when advertising for companies that might be rivals.
Teamwork is at the heart of Derrick's operations. With a dedicated team of five, he collaborates with other marketing companies to offer clients the best of the best. His future vision? To transform The People's Advertiser into a comprehensive marketing company where he’s more the visionary and less the worker bee. “I am preparing to leave tomorrow to advertise for a healthcare company and will be gone for a month, but my dream is to be able to collect the checks and I send someone out instead of me spending time away from my family.” He is also planning on partnering with Kay Laurice (Yes, Me!) to fulfill his marketing goals for both his company and his clients. He’s passionate about making affordable marketing accessible, especially for black-owned businesses.
